FAQ

Is this Virtual Reality?

No, this is augmented reality.

With virtual reality, when you put on a head set all you can see is a 360 degree video game world.

With augmented reality, when you put on a headset you can still see everyone and everything around you, and the software maps the game right in front of you, similar to CGI.

With augmented reality your actual environment becomes part of the game.

What is the recommended age to play Hado PvP?

 Ages 10+.

There is a learning curve and kids younger than 10 sometimes struggle with the tech.

How long does a game of Hado PvP last?

A game consists of three 80 second rounds (with the potential for up to 3 sudden victory rounds).

Players can change their stats before the start of each round.

If any round results in a draw, that round is decided by a sudden victory round.

Do players get eliminated?

No,  four targets known as “petals” float in front of each players head set.

When all four petals have been hit, a player is K.O’ed and will respawn within a few seconds.

Does the game have different themes?

While the game does not have different themes, due to the fact that augmented reality mixes the video game with the players real world surroundings,  a players attire and the surrounding environment become part of the game.

So whether you are hosting a halloween party, a full scale cosplay convention, or any other themed event, Hado PvP will add a new layer of immersiveness to the overall experience.

Imagine shooting blasts of energy from your Iron Man gauntlet or Harry Potter themed wand!

Whether you are into Dragon Ball Z, League of Legends, My Hero Academia, Tron, Harry Potter, or various comic and anime characters, Hado PvP takes your cosplay experience to the next level.

How much does it cost to play?

Pricing varies based on the event (sometimes it's free), please visit our events page for details, but the most common pricing you will see is:

1 ticket $8

What else do I need to provide to have you bring Hado to our event.

 1. For a single court set up we need at least a 40x40 ft space that is completely open (no pillars or columns) with at least a 10 ft ceiling clearance. Square footage requirements for adding  a second court depend upon the orientation of the available space.

2. We need a completely flat and level surface

3. You must provide access to electricity, at least 3 different power drops (outlets) per court.

We bring our own extension cords and surge protectors.

4. Hado PVP requires an internet connection. We have our own Verizon Jet pack hot spot, but we must be able to get Verizon cellular service within your facility, otherwise you must provide a stable WiFi  connection.

5. We typical only do indoor events however, we can set up outdoors as long as we are completely  sheltered from the wind and rain.

The game banners serve as AR markers so that the software knows where each player is in space and can map the virtual elements accordingly.

If the banners are moving in the wind then the game will not function properly.

With the banners being  8x20 ft they are essentially sails, one gust of wind can send them flying.

Hence, why we only do indoor events unless certain structural accommodations can be made at the event hosts expense.

For example: We were able to bring Hado PVP to the 2019 Lapeer Days Festival (outdoor event). To make this possible they provided us with a large enough pavilion, equipped with multiple electrical outlets, and roll down tent-like side walls.
